Position Summary
An AFA Fire Alarm Inspector's primary functions and responsibilities include inspecting and testing Fire Alarm systems to the prescribed standards and fire code.
Position Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide the inspection and testing of Fire Alarm equipment to comply with NFPA72 standards as well as state and local codes
- Maintain complete and accurate inspection report documentation, including deficiency repair recommendations
- Communicate with customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site
- Interact professionally with customers
- Follow and maintain structured inspection schedules
- Communicate inspection status, changes or problems to supervisor or manager
- Work overtime when needed
- Complete required training and certifications within the time requirements for this role
- Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures
- Maintain assigned vehicle, tools, and equipment
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years' experience in testing, inspecting, or servicing Fire Alarm, burglar alarms, video surveillance or access control systems
- MA Systems Technicians "D, A or B" license
- Valid driver license
Preferred Qualifications:
- NICET II and S-98 Certification
- Alarm System Notifier experience including troubleshooting and programming

Salary: $69000 - $85700 base pay with additional available overtime
