As the Fire Alarm Systems Estimator working at our corporate headquarters in St. Petersburg, Fla. you'll have the unique opportunity to work directly with our vendors, business development team and design teams to produce accurate bid packages for life safety systems. Working with life safety, two-way communication (area of refuge/rescue assistance), CO/No2 gas detection systems, and more, this is a critical role in our Fire Alarm systems division and is positioned for exponential growth.

- Manage the estimating process from beginning to end, including timelines, deadlines and estimating packages.
- Communicate with vendors and clients to build relationships, define the project scope, address any deficiencies and negotiate pricing.
- Research quotes for material and labor from our suppliers and subcontractors.
- Continuously follow up on all bid projects and accurately forecast future awards.
- Partner with Power Design's construction project management team to properly transfer awarded projects.
- Stay up-to-date with current technology trends in Fire Alarm systems.
here's what we're looking for...
- 3 or more years of relevant experience in Fire Alarm integration projects, with 2 or more years of technical Fire Alarm estimating experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of residential and commercial Fire Alarm / life safety technologies, including products from industry leaders (Gamewell/FCI, Notifier, Rath, Honeywell Analytics), with industry and/or manufacturer training and certifications as a plus.
- Experience interpreting construction documents and bid proposals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and estimating software (Accubid preferred).
- Proven track record maintaining excellent relationships and providing a high level of customer service.
