Fire Alarm and Security Technician II will coordinate with contractors, manage implementations, and perform service for new equipment installation, equipment, or repairs for commercial Fire Alarm and Security systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The Fire Alarm and Security Technician II will support, monitor, test and troubleshoot software and hardware for Fire Alarm and Security solutions products and achieve the following:
- The ability to interpret and apply blueprints, plans, and specifications
- The ability to test and program fire alarm and access control systems
- Organize, manage and lead technical system installation and testing discussions
- Work directly with end users, IT and maintenance departments
- Must have a commitment to excellence
- Must be self-motivated, organized, have excellent communication skills, be able to take direction, work as a team player and be ready to perform any function deemed necessary for the accomplishment of the objectives of the EnvelopiQ
- Fire Alarm and or Security System Training and or NICET Certification
- Minimum 3 years' experience
- Experience with micro-processor based systems, PC/server based systems, data networking
- Additional industry certifications such as BICSI and NICET a plus
- High School diploma or GED required; Associate Degree preferred
- Valid driver's license and evidence of insurability

- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively interface with customers and communicate at all levels

- Requires critical thinking skills, excellent problem solving skills, self-motivation, decisive judgment and excellent customer service skills
- Mechanical and / or electrical aptitude skills are a must
Other Requirements:
- Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction
- May be required to satisfy other requirements imposed by specific projects, customers, or company needs, including to be vaccinated for the flu and/or Covid-19 and similar, subject to all applicable laws
- Valid driver's license (including a clean driving record) and evidence of insurability
- This is a physical / construction type of position. It will require but not be limited to standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and crawling. This position will also require being up on ladders and
- 40 Hours / week with the potential for overtime. Daily travel to job sites, generally in the state of Indiana (but not limited to).
