Fine Dining Server

About us

Michael Anthony's Cucina Italiana, in business for over 20 years with a loyal local customer base is seeking a full-time Fine Dining Server with proven Fine Dining experience to work five evening shifts per week. We are looking for a dynamic professional to join our talented and award winning team.

Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• The successful professional server must possess a minimum of three years experience working in a professional Fine Dining environment with advanced knowledge of fine wines, dining etiquette and steps of service.
• Knowledge of Italian cuisine and wines is a major plus.
• Looking for someone who is customer service driven with an outgoing personality.
• Abiltiy to multi-task and remain calm under pressure
• No seasonal applicants please.
• Prior experience with Toast or other POS systems a plus
• Teamplayer
• Uses initiative to meet customer's high expectations
• Sense of urgency

Responsibilities:

• Performs opening/closing sidework
• Present menus to guests and answer any questions regarding menu items, beverages, and any other restaurant functions or services. Inform guests of any menu changes or specials of the day and be able to make appropriate recommendations.
• Be able to narrate how menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods.
• Have a working knowledge of our wine lists including the Private Reserve list. Be able to describe and recommend wines to customers as well as present properly.
• Assist in serving food to high standards by ensuring that all dishes are presented correctly and in a timely manner.
• Check on guests during their meal to ascertain satisfaction levels. Reports any issues or complaints directly to the FOH manager to ensure that any issues can be corrected to the satisfaction of the customers.

Reuirements:

• Fine Dining Servers must be able to speak English fluently.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and climb stairs frequently.
• Reliable transportation is required.
