Responsibilities: - Develop and implement art curriculum for students of various age groups and skill levels - Plan and deliver engaging art lessons that align with educational standards - Provide instruction in various art techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media - Foster creativity and self-expression in students through art projects and assignments - Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback on their artwork - Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate art into interdisciplinary projects - Organize and supervise art exhibitions or showcases to display student artwork - Maintain a safe and organized art studio environment Experience: - Previous experience teaching art to students of different age groups - Strong knowledge of curriculum development and educational standards in art education - Proficiency in various art techniques and mediums - Familiarity with the Chicago Manual Style for citation and referencing in art research projects - Ability to plan and execute engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles - Experience in creative writing or storytelling to enhance art projects - Knowledge or experience in sports coaching to incorporate movement and physical activity into art lessons - Ability to mentor students and provide guidance on artistic development - Familiarity with library services to support research-based art projects - Understanding of special education principles to accommodate diverse learners in the art classroom - Strong proofreading skills for reviewing written assignments related to art Note: This job description is not exhaustive and may be subject to change or modification at any time.

Pay: $22.00 - $45.00 per hour
