JOB PURPOSE

The Financial Systems Manager, a key expert in Health One's Financial Systems, bridges the Finance and IT departments, ensuring seamless coordination and enhancement of financial system updates and workflows. This role is central to migrating current accounting processes and data integrations from Finance to IT, leading the development of a new data warehouse, and potentially transitioning to a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform, ensuring smooth, efficient, and continuous operations throughout. A robust understanding of managing large-scale projects is essential for this position.


Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Data Management:

  • Manage key accounting and finance data integrations.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of new Financial Systems, ensuring their upgrade and functionality.

Quality and Security Oversight:

  • Ensure application quality assurance and document bug fixes and enhancements for operational quality.
  • Supervise system security, managing user access, and adapting security profiles to evolving requirements.

User Interaction and Support:

  • Facilitate end-user training and respond to ad hoc reporting and inquiries.
  • Provide daily support to business users, ensuring smooth business processes and reporting cycles (monthly, quarterly, annually).

System Development and Optimization:

  • Recommend and implement production customizations and enhancements.
  • Identify functionality gaps, develop solutions, and perform root cause analyses to optimize processes and integrations.

ERP Management:

  • Design and execute architecture specifications for the ERP, focusing on data extracts, migration, system integration, and reporting.
  • Drive best practices for ERP modules and integrations, coordinating system and user acceptance tests.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Create comprehensive documentation, including guides, data flow maps, and training materials.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, professional conduct, and ethical practice, maintaining regular attendance.

Internal Controls and Collaboration:

  • Establish and uphold internal controls within financial and business systems to mitigate risks and assure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with IT and various teams to implement and uphold integrated reporting.

Culture and Additional Duties:

  • Promote and encourage the Company culture throughout the organization.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3 years experience managing Financial Systems, executing SQL code, and overseeing projects. 
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • Proficient in generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and statutory accounting principles, as well as financial reporting. 
  • Experienced in analyzing business and technical requirements, developing methodologies, and mapping business processes. 
  • Adept with SQL and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and familiar with General Ledger and ERP Systems.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Moderate to significant amount of stress in meeting deadlines and dealing with day-to-day responsibilities. Must be able to drive a vehicle and daytime/overnight travel as required.
