Financial Systems Manager

The Financial Systems Managerwill be responsible for the INFOR SUN accounting system and implementation of new systems with the accounting team. This includes oversight, development maintenance, training, and administrative support of the accounting systems. The incumbent will also take the lead on future systems upgrades or new implementations. In addition, the Financial Systems Managerwill support ARC accounting functions, including month end and year-end closing efforts.

In this role you will:

Perform in the super user role for the INFOR SUN and any other accounting system including but not limited to the following:

• Establish, modify, and/or inactivate valid system users;
• Manage existing user access and security roles within the system;
• Create new GL accounts, sub-accounts, project codes as needed;
• Create/maintain accounting and financial reporting templates in SUN PMQA;
• Develop and maintain training material for use with the INFOR SUN accounting system;
• Participate in webinars and utilize other resources regularly on new features and enhancements of the system;
• Train new users on the system as well as update existing users on new features and enhancements;
• Drive accounting system upgrades and implementations including test and acceptance;
• Work with IT on system upgrades or EDI integrations;

Perform various accounting functions, including but not limited to:

• Customer invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, G/L journal entries, accruals, financial reporting, etc.;
• Perform monthly close processes and monthly financial reporting;
• Maintain documentation of accounting processes.

Education/Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, finance or in a related discipline or equivalent experience required:

· 3-6 years of dynamic accounting experience and possesses these skills:

o Working experience with INFOR SUN accounting system required;

o Experience in the Deltek, Costpoint Time & Expense system preferred;

o Experience with accounting system implementations and integrations with outside systems (EDI).

· Strong Excel skills, analytical skills, and good communication skills

· Proven experience with full charge accounting responsibilities, including account analysis and month end close

· Shipping, logistics or Government Contracting experience is preferred, but not necessary

· Military background desired
