Financial Services Associate

Capital Bookkeeping Cooperative (CBC) is a worker-owned company founded in March 2017, dedicated to providing comprehensive financial management services, including bookkeeping, systems creation, and financial consulting, to small businesses, nonprofits, and cooperatives nationwide. As a worker cooperative, CBC is governed by its employees, who share in the company's profits and actively participate in its decision-making processes.

At CBC, we use a consent-based democratic governance model for internal decision-making and seek candidates who are strong communicators and eager to contribute to the ongoing evolution of their role at CBC.

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

• Experience in bookkeeping, financial account management, and business administration.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel, and/or Google Sheets.
• Prior experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) is required.
• Familiarity with Airtable and Asana is preferred.
• Knowledge of the cooperative business model is a plus.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Hours and Compensation

This position is for thirty hours per week, with an hourly starting rate of $27.10. Additionally, we offer competitive benefits, including:

While we offer a hybrid work schedule, candidates must be able to work in-person at our Albany, NY office multiple days per week.

After completing one year and 800 hours of work, there is an option for employees to purchase a share and become an owner of the business.

We are able to offer sign-on bonuses to individuals currently certified by Intuit as a ProAdvisor.
