Responsibilities:
Financial Operations:
- Manage and oversee the Financial Operations of the healthcare organization.
- Coordinate and streamline revenue cycle processes to optimize efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare financial regulations and policies.
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather financial data and reports.
Accounts Receivable:
- Generate and issue invoices to patients, insurance companies, and third-party payers.
- Follow up on outstanding receivables, ensuring timely payments.
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Process and post payments received from various sources.
- Prepare and maintain accurate aging reports.
Accounts Payable:
- Review and verify invoices and purchase orders for accuracy.
- Process invoices for payment, ensuring proper approvals.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions in the accounts payable ledger.
Financial Reporting:
- Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
- Prepare financial reports for management and regulatory authorities.
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights for decision-making.
Compliance:
- Stay updated on healthcare financial regulations and ensure adherence.
- Implement and maintain financial controls to safeguard against fraud and errors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preffered.
- Experience in healthcare Financial Operations preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare billing and reimbursement processes preferred.
- Familiarity with relevant accounting software and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
Work Location
- On site 1-2 days a week.
- Quarterly visits to headquarters in Charleston, SC.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
