Financial Operations Specialist

Responsibilities:

Financial Operations:

• Manage and oversee the Financial Operations of the healthcare organization.
• Coordinate and streamline revenue cycle processes to optimize efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare financial regulations and policies.
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather financial data and reports.

Accounts Receivable:

• Generate and issue invoices to patients, insurance companies, and third-party payers.
• Follow up on outstanding receivables, ensuring timely payments.
• Reconcile accounts receivable ledger, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Process and post payments received from various sources.
• Prepare and maintain accurate aging reports.

Accounts Payable:

• Review and verify invoices and purchase orders for accuracy.
• Process invoices for payment, ensuring proper approvals.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions in the accounts payable ledger.

Financial Reporting:

• Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
• Prepare financial reports for management and regulatory authorities.
• Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights for decision-making.

Compliance:

• Stay updated on healthcare financial regulations and ensure adherence.
• Implement and maintain financial controls to safeguard against fraud and errors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preffered.
• Experience in healthcare Financial Operations preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare billing and reimbursement processes preferred.
• Familiarity with relevant accounting software and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.

Work Location

• On site 1-2 days a week.
• Quarterly visits to headquarters in Charleston, SC.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
