Job Description: Financial Operations and Erate Coordinator
Reports to: Accounting Manager
Department: Business Services
Net56 Inc.is in search of a candidate to contribute to both the financial stability of our organization and the successful management of the Erate process. This role requires a strong foundation in financial work ethics, unwavering honesty, and a commitment to responsible financial practices. Moreover, the candidate should exhibit a proactive approach to financial decision-making, consistently striving to enhance fiscal efficiency while maintaining compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Accounting Responsibilities:
· Assist the Senior Accountant by inputting financial data, including invoices, receipts, and expenses, into accounting software or spreadsheets.
· Provide support with general administrative tasks, such as filing documents, organizing financial records, and maintaining office supplies.
· Collaborate with colleagues from different departments to gather and provide financial information as needed.
· Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and internal teams regarding financial matters.
· Assist in ensuring compliance with accounting principles, policies, and relevant regulations.
· Utilize accounting software and tools proficiently to facilitate financial tasks and reporting.
Educational Erate Specialist Responsibilities:
· Lead the preparation, submission, and tracking of E-Rate applications, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary data and documentation for E-Rate filings.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of E-Rate program rules, regulations, and guidelines.
· Work with relevant departments to determine eligible services and locations.
· Collaborate with vendors and service providers to gather quotes, bids, and required documentation for E-Rate applications.
· Facilitate communication between vendors and internal teams to ensure accurate information exchange.
· Ensure compliance with E-Rate program rules and regulations, including documentation and record-keeping requirements.
· Prepare and submit required forms, reports, and certifications to the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC).
· Assist in the creation and maintenance of the E-Rate budget, tracking expenses and discounts received.
· Work with the finance department to ensure proper allocation of E-Rate funds.
· Provide training and guidance to staff members regarding E-Rate program processes and requirements.
· Serve as a point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders for E-Rate inquiries.
· Strong understanding of the Federal E-Rate Program rules, guidelines, and application processes.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
· Proficiency in using E-Rate management tools and software.
· Prior experience in managing E-Rate applications and compliance is a plus.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Must have solid knowledge of the Erate process.
· Must have working knowledge and experience with QuickBooks.
· Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
· Prior experience in a similar role or coursework in accounting is a plus.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
· Understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
· Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
In addition to the above, there may be additional tasks and or projects assigned as needed. This position will require the occasional need to work beyond regular office hours.
