The Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS) is seeking an individual to work in public service as a Financial Institution Examiner in the Office of Consumer Finance. The right candidate will play an important role in the Office of Consumer Finance's work to regulate companies that millions of Michiganders rely on every day, including mortgage companies, motor vehicle finance companies, money transfer services, payday lenders, and other consumer financial services companies. Working individually and collaboratively as a team, you will conduct examinations of financial services companies and ensure they comply with state and federal regulations. At the Examiner level, you will be responsible for assisting during examinations and investigations of entities supervised by the Office of Consumer Finance, with the opportunity to serve as Examiner-In-Charge in examinations, as assigned.

Possession of a bachelor's degree with a business major including completion of a business core curriculum consisting of one course each in finance, law, and management, one course in either marketing or economics, and 6 semester (9 term) credits in accounting.
