Woven Data is a technology company that provides business analytics and reporting services to pharmaceutical manufacturers. We are looking for a Financial Data Processor to join our team. This is a remote position, you can work from anywhere in the US. It will start as a 3 month contract trial period, then convert to full-time.
Your responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will be to load our clients' business data into the Woven Data system, investigate and resolve data issues, and maintain the quality of our databases. To do this, you will:
- Load input files with data, working with our client service team to resolve data issues.
- Follow data processing procedures to load data and test its quality.
- Investigate cases where data does not meet system requirements, dig into the underlying business transactions to understand what happened, explain the situation to analysts and the client service team, and manually fix non-compliant records.
- Research information about businesses encountered in data, enter it into our system.
- Support analysts and client service partners who present reports to clients, based on the data you load.
- Work with the engineers and client service partners to improve our recurring processes.

To be successful in this role, you need to be:
- Super attentive to details. Mistakes are costly for us, so we are looking for someone who will take pride in the quality of their work, down to the minute details.
- Great at following and improving data handling procedures. To consistently do a perfect job for our clients, we develop and follow standard written procedures for handling various business situations. We are looking for someone who will not only be dedicated to following these processes, but will champion and improve them.
- Effective at handling data anomalies. You will need to be quick on your feet diagnosing what's going on, diving into data details, and documenting and communicating what happened.
- Good at explaining things in writing. You will frequently need to ask teammates for help with unusual situations, and need to be able to clearly articulate what is happening and what you expect your colleagues to do.
- Good with time management and effective working on your own. This is a remote position where you manage your own work and schedule with little supervision, and keep your colleagues informed about your progress. Our clients have monthly reporting deadlines, and rely on the timeliness of our services.
- Proactive about off-loading data processing from your teammates. You are successful if you free up the client service team and analysts from worrying about data handling.
Skills for this role
Having the following skills will be an advantage in this role:
- Experience working remotely. We are a fully remote team.
- Familiarity with accounting or finance. We handle financial transactions, and speaking the financial language is a big plus.
- Numerical literacy and fluency with Excel data manipulation. We work with numbers.
- Ability to clearly explain financial and data issues both verbally and in writing, and take comprehensive detailed notes for future reference.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Engineering or Science.
Compensation and benefits
- $55,000 - $67,000 annual salary range
