Applies principles of inventory management and cost accounting to provide detailed information not supplied by general accounting systems. Completes gross margin analyses related to company’s products, inventory, and its overall value. As an essential part of the accounting team, the inventory controller is responsible for the accuracy of the cost of goods sold and analysis of product margins which have a direct impact on the Company’s bottom line. This position profile identifies the key responsibilities and expectations for performance. It cannot encompass all specific job tasks that an employee may be required to perform. · Leads inventory team through creation and maintenance of policies and procedures as well as personnel management.
· Maintains accuracy of Company’s perpetual inventory system through discrepancy analysis
· Develops policies and procedures related to inventory movement and storage.
· Design and manage Company’s physical counting process and procedures.
· Collects & analyzes data to determine costs and efficiencies of all manufacturing processes: Production Lines, Yard Receiving, Yard to Plant, Shipping, Warehousing, Maintenance & Systems. Plant and Yard are priorities then move into other areas such as Trucking, Shop, and Office.
· Determines what data is needed for most effective management and how to collect data.
· Synthesizes cost and inventory data into actionable items for management.
· Analyzes changes in raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs.
· Records cost information for use in controlling expenditures and preparing operating budgets.
· Makes estimates of new and proposed product or service costs.
· Recommends cost efficiencies in current and new product layouts.
· Recommendation for improvements to management team for each process

· Provides reports and recommendations for plant improvement and cost savings.
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business field.
· At least three years of experience in a standard cost accounting system in a manufacturing setting is critical. Continuous flow cost accounting experience is a major plus.
Office work is performed primarily on property in Kimberly, Idaho at the Corporate Facility. Occasional work with inventory team inside the Eden, Idaho plant and/or the surrounding grounds and facilities may be necessary.
