Job Description
The Financial Controller plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations and ensuring the financial health of the organization. They are responsible for managing accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. Responsibilities:

- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads. Monitor performance against budgets and provide variance analysis to identify areas for improvement.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data to support decision-making and strategic planning. Provide insights into trends, opportunities, and risks affecting the organization's financial performance.
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure accuracy of financial records, and prevent fraud. Regularly review and update control procedures to mitigate risks.
- Cash Management: Manage cash flow and liquidity to meet operational needs and optimize investment opportunities. Monitor banking activities and maintain relationships with financial institutions.
- Tax Compliance: Coordinate tax planning and compliance activities to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. Liaise with external tax advisors as necessary.
- Audit Coordination: Serve as the primary contact for external auditors during annual audits and other financial reviews. Prepare audit schedules, provide necessary
- documentation, and address audit inquiries.
- Financial Systems and Processes: Evaluate and enhance financial systems, processes, and policies to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and strengthen internal controls.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies and initiatives aligned with organizational goals. Provide recommendations for improving financial performance and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
