Financial Controller
Dynamic, rapidly growing, reputable company needs your generalist accounting and financial planning expertise to contribute to the strategic development of this organization.
You will be responsible for directing the company’s financial and expansion planning, budgets, strategic planning, treasury management, tax, insurance, and business administration. This includes a full cycle of accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, preparation of financial, tax, operational reports, and other weekly information. If you have exceptional financial/accounting skills, payroll experience including performance-based evaluation systems, a can-do attitude that enjoys a team environment that prides itself on excellent customer service and creative problem solving skills, you may qualify for this position that reports to the owners.
Essential Responsibilities:
· Designing and tracking the objectives, goals, strategies, and tactics of the company through astute financial analysis, planning and management
· Develop financial analysis, projections, and budgets to assist with the long-term strategic and operational planning and forecasting
· Plan cash flow from week to week
· Pay all Accounts Payable
· Set up and manage all bank and vendor accounts
· Managing and directing the company’s assets to successfully achieve the multiple annual operating budgets and to achieve the greatest possible return on company assets
· Provide updated financial statements and long term plans
· Provide leadership and direction regarding human capital management, compensation and benefits, and profitable/effective operations
Essentials Qualifications:
· 5 (Five) plus years of accounting and financial planning experience in a similar position, preferably with the construction industry or architecture and design.
· Degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred or equivalent experience in a Controller position
· CPA or CMS is highly desirable
· Intimate knowledge of cash management, financial analysis, planning, budgeting, payroll, and cost projections
· Experience in a rapid-paced entrepreneurial company over $8 (Eight) million dollars in revenue
· Strategic and financial modeling, planning/analysisbudgeting expertise
· Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks (QBO)
· Ability to systemize self and others
· Project a positive presence in negotiations and presentations with financial institutions, lawyers, accountants, clients, and other business leaders
