Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust financial models to assess the economic feasibility of solar farm projects, incorporating factors such as construction costs, operational expenses, revenue projections, and financing terms.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making processes, providing insights into project profitability, return on investment (ROI), and risk assessments.
- Apply Structured Finance principles to optimize project financing structures, considering various funding sources, tax equity, debt financing, and other financial instruments.
- Identify and evaluate financial risks associated with solar projects, including market risks, regulatory risks, and operational risks. Develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes affecting the solar energy sector. Conduct benchmarking analyses to assess the competitiveness of our projects.
- Evaluate potential solar farm investments, conducting due diligence on acquisition opportunities. Provide detailed investment memoranda and financial analyses to support investment decision-making.
- Prepare and present financial reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), and financial forecasts to senior management and external stakeholders. Communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA) is a plus.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, modeling, and Structured Finance, preferably in the renewable energy or infrastructure sector.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent understanding of project finance principles, tax equity structures, and debt financing.
- Knowledge of renewable energy industry trends, policies, and market dynamics.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
