State Fund is looking for an additional member to join our Teleworking Financial Planning & Analysis Team. This position will work under the general direction of the Corporate Finance Manager in a large enterprise specialized in the field of Workers’ Compensation Insurance.
- Execute advanced data analysis independently in response to ad-hoc research and reporting requests
- Develop models for reporting data, forecasting results, and performing complex analysis
- Evaluate and analyze various types of data, create dashboards using business intelligence tools, produce reports and presentations of results with compelling visualizations
- Lead efforts to improve effectiveness and efficiency of enterprise reporting by designing and building sustainable financial tools
- Improve the usability of templates, explore opportunities for automated reporting, and provide recommendations for creating value-added reports
The ideal candidate would also be skilled at the following:
- Managing multiple highly complex analysis & projects
- Digital competencies; data visualization, ML/predictive modeling, digital fluency, process automation, etc.
- Thorough attention to detail with superb analytical, researching, data gathering, and reporting skills
- Fluent with MS Office - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
- Exceptional time management skills
This position may have an option to telework and is subject to change based on State Fund guidelines and business needs. Applicants must reside in CA to be considered.
Incumbents must possess 12 semester or 18 quarter units course work in any combination of a data driven research-related field, such as economics, mathematics, psychology, sociology, demography, geography, anthropology, statistics, data science or a research-related field. This must include at least one course in statistical methods; and
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college with a bachelor's degree. Work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis by applicants who have the required units mentioned above. A Master's Degree in economics, mathematics, psychology, sociology, demography, geography, anthropology, statistics, data science or a related research-oriented field may be substituted for two years of the required experience. A doctoral degree in the same areas may be substituted for three years of the required experience.

SALARY: $7,201 - $9,013 per month depending on experience.
