Financial Analyst

Financial Analyst
This role will support the financial and strategic planning process of the organization by assisting in the preparation of financial information and analysis to support the monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-term planning processes of a fast-growing, dynamic organization. This role will interact closely with the rest of the Financial Planning team, Accounting team and business units throughout the organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly actual to budget variances and update monthly forecasts
Collaborate with business leaders to build annual detailed departmental and organizational budgets
Consolidating financial data for different organizational areas
Proactively engage business management to achieve financial and business goals
Develop new or enhanced financial models to support business units needs
Actively assist with other departmental and organizational initiatives as needed
Perform special projects and ad hoc analysis as requested by the Accounting and Finance leadership team
Develop best practices to ensure compliance with financial regulations
Collaborating with internal departments to reconcile financial data
Updating financial spreadsheets and reports on a monthly/quarterly basis
Preform other duties as assigned
Main Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required with minimum of 3 years of related experience preferably within the utility industry
Strong financial reporting skills and understanding of financial analysis and financial modeling, with ability to understand the underlying data and processes
Strong analytical skills with a focus on attention to detail
Proficient with Excel and Power Point
Strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
High degree of personal initiative and self-motivation
SAP and BW experience preferred
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Be a resource for resolving issues and provide training and guidance as needed
Ability to work with management across the organization on financial and business needs
Required Qualifications
