Position Summary:
Full Time
The Financial Accounting Manager assumes responsibility for the core elements of financial recordkeeping, encompassing the precise recording of financial transactions and oversight of accounts payable and receivables. This role manages tight deadlines and a diverse range of accounting tasks, which include but are not limited to general ledger preparation, facilitating financial reporting, preparing for year-end audits, and supporting budgetary and forecasting activities. Additionally, this position operates as a strategic consultant for managers within the organization, providing up-to-date budgetary information and ensuring the timely delivery of critical information for effective business management. Alongside these responsibilities, this role also oversees the property management aspects of two small commercial buildings. This is a full time position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Financial Accounting Manager's duties encompass, but are not limited to, the following:
• Managing Accounts Payable and Receivable
• Recording and tracking payroll within the general ledger
• Performing Account Reconciliations
• Executing Month/Year-end journal entries
• Generating Monthly Reports
• Monitoring and analyzing financial and business data to support management in decision-making processes
Qualifications and Requirements:
• 3-5 years of progressive financial experience
• Demonstrated expertise in GAAP with the ability to produce accurate and comprehensive reports
• Proven capability to collaborate effectively and foster productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Proficiency in computer applications, especially Excel, Google Sheets and QuickBooks
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Capacity to manage and prioritize daily tasks to meet set deadlines
• Prior experience in commercial property management would be advantageous
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
