About the Role:
My client, a leading life science company based in Royston, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their dynamic Finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring financial compliance and driving process improvements across various areas of finance.

Responsibilities:
As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring compliance with VAT, Corporation tax, and other regulatory requirements.
- Conducting balance sheet reconciliations and supporting month-end close activities.
- Preparing statutory accounts and coordinating both internal and external audits.
- Providing analytical insights to support decision-making processes.
- Implementing and maintaining effective financial controls and processes.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the wider business objectives.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Qualification or active pursuit of CIMA/ACCA/ACA accreditation.
- Previous experience in diverse finance roles, preferably within manufacturing.
- Knowledge of current financial reporting standards and accounting principles.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with SAP/ERP systems is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
