The minimum base salary for this position is $90,000 and the maximum is $95,000, plus additional annual profit sharing bonus potential. Salary may vary based on education, knowledge and experience.
Job Summary:
The Finance Manager is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the corporation in accordance with sound accounting and financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the industry. This includes monitoring general accounting practices, financial statements, budgeting, developing internal accounting controls and building a strong accounting team. The Finance Manager will work closely with the CFO to meet the financial needs of the company.
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and provide timely and accurate analyses of budgets, cash flow and management, overhead rates, project profit and reporting, financial reports, and financial forecasts and trends for the company; monitor the company finances for trends, deficiencies, and variability.
- Work with external accountant in preparation and filing of the company tax returns, licensing, audits, and other financial obligations/requirements as needed.
- Maintain financial security by establishing good internal controls.
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure. Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly and annual financial information.
- Work with the CFO to ensure a clean and timely month, quarter and year-end financial close.
- Compile reports and analysis as requested by management or board of directors.
- Respond timely to inquiries from employees and management.
- Other accounting and financial duties as assigned.

Requirements:
The Finance Manager we are seeking has a great opportunity to help WEST take the next step in our growth as a premier environmental consulting firm. The successful candidate must be a self-starter who possesses:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business. CPA preferred but not required.
- Seven (7) plus years of progressive experience in the accounting field
- Experience working in a growing consulting or professional services firm is preferred.
- Five (5) or more years of supervisory experience
- High level experience and knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and practices.
- Superior ethical conduct and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality standards.
- Advanced Deltek VantagePoint financial reporting software experience
- Significant expertise with Excel, Word, Outlook or Gmail, and Access and proficiency in using Windows operating system.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Active communicator in hearing the needs of internal and external customers and responsive in satisfying those needs with solutions.
- Able to present ideas and generate enthusiasm and support from staff.
- Able to establish, build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships and interact with other departments to achieve shared goals.
- Mentor, manage, motivate, develop, and direct people as they work. Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.

- Must be able to perform complex calculations, understand accounting impact/implications and perform complex reconciliations of large volumes of data.

- Must be able to quickly learn new systems, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
