Job Description
Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, PA is in search of a Finance Manager. The Playhouse has become one of the leading regional theaters on the East Coast and is the largest arts organization in Bucks County. BCP presents a year-round schedule of original productions, featuring stars of stage and screen, and visiting artists presentations. Its two-acre campus includes the historic playhouse, an outdoor courtyard café, waterfall picnic area, river promenade, and a full restaurant/bar. The Finance Manager will report to the Director of Administration. This is an exempt full-time position with a work week consisting of at least 40 hours per week, more when necessary to meet deadlines.

DETAILS OF POSITION
Financial Management (70%)
· Maintain an easily auditable and transparent financial infrastructure.
· Responsible for all day-to-day AR functions of the department including but not limited to daily end-of-day sales reports, deposits, cash reconciliation, internal audits of cash drawers, and resolving any discrepancies.
· Cover all AP functions when Bookkeeper is away.
· Maintain cash flow projections by monitoring bank balances daily.
· Reconcile all bank and GL accounts.
· Perform all end-of-month closing duties and ensure monthly financial reports are completed by the given deadline.
· As part of closing duties, ensure that all expenses and revenues are coded to the appropriate account, project, or classification.
· Prepare financial reports in compliance with grant requirements and grant applications.
· Assist Director of Administration in budget formation and forecasting process and contribute to the review and administration of the budget and comparisons of budgeted to actual spending.
· With assistance from the Director of Administration, Bookkeeper and third-party bookkeeping service, prepare reports and information to support the CPA with annual audits and tax filings.
· Ensure that all charity registrations are kept up to date.
· Manage general liability, Directors and Officers, liquor liability and all other insurance policies.
· Always work towards streamlining and sharpening protocols and processes, keeping current on trends, GAAP, software, and anything else that will keep the organization current and the finance department highly functioning.
· Maintain an organized workspace, both physical and with online file sharing.
· Other duties as necessary.
Human Resources/Payroll Administration (30%)
· Coordinate and carry out day-to-day HR functions of the organization, including weekly/bi-weekly payroll administration and management of ADP TotalSource.
· Maintain compliance with all employment laws and regulations.
· Manage onboarding and offboarding of all entering and exiting employees in ADP TotalSource; ensure onboarding paperwork is kept up to date and department directors are properly instructed on onboarding protocols.
· File all workers compensation claims and general liability claims.
· Support the Director of Administration in drafting and distributing new and updated policies and procedures.
· Maintain an organized workspace, both physical with online file sharing.
· Other duties as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS
· Demonstrated ability to maintain a transparent financial infrastructure, including budgeting, reporting and support of outside auditing.
· 3-4 years of relevant experience; non-profit experience preferred.
· Expertise with Sage or similar accounting system; Sage Intacct experience highly preferred.
· Experience working with a co-employer such as ADP.
· Stellar written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work with a diverse range of staff, Board Directors, artists and vendors.
· Strong organizational skills and time management abilities; capacity to prioritize competing responsibilities.
· High attention to detail and consistent commitment to accuracy.
· Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
· Willingness to learn new skills and systems and collaborate in other areas as needed.
