Key Responsibilities
This is a 12-week, full-time summer internship. This position will be reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, and work with the Capital Markets and Accounting teams. The primary responsibilities of the Finance Intern include:
- Assist with the preparation of periodical financial reports
- Research and explain financial variances to plan and help forecast upcoming years
- Support capital markets with loan sale generation and funding operations
- Ensure data integrity and timely delivery of various requests, such as data uploads and ad-hoc analysis
- Support the team with various clerical and administrative tasks
- Collaborate with other partners across the Company as needed on projects and initiatives that drive Meritize’s growth
Key Qualifications
To be eligible for this internship, applicants must have:
- A college degree or ongoing studies in a related field (Finance/Accounting/Economics/Business)
- Intermediate Excel Skills (Index-Match, Pivot Tables)
- Previous internship or related experience in finance (preferred)
- SQL, R, and Python is a plus
