Deliverables from this role/consultant that indicate a success:
Develop and identify process to monitor Operating and Academic Affiliation Agreement (OAAA)
- Academic & Research Exclusivity (i.e. for undergraduate medical students, residents and Fellows) – direct support equal to a least $2,500,000 adjusted by CPI
- Mission support for – 8.5% NPSR
- GME Commitments by UHS to provides financial support for GME programs for all residents, Fellows, time allocation of MFA faculty per ACGME, required administrative personnel (program coordinators, directors, administrative staff
- Medical Services agreement for Medical Faculty Associates – Exhibit G rates and stipends
- New Clinical Service – define i.e. Transplant services
- Centers of Excellence partnership – additional funding not an offset from Mission support payment
- Quality metrics monitoring and reporting
- Trademark agreement – 1% of NPSR
- Ground lease terms
Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center affiliation agreement:
- Academic investment (initial and NPSR)
- Startup costs for MFA clinical program (eventually include reconciliation of collections per agreement)
- Family medicine residency investments and progress
Ambulatory Care Center – agreement on allowed service lines to be operated exclusively by MFA
Determine reporting needs from all groups to standardize and automate requests and reconciliations.
Map and monitor all criteria to matching notification matrix
Track all notifications and responses
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, Health Information Management, nursing or applicable field preferred.
- RHIA/RHIT/CCS certification
- Minimum of 7 years of experience with RAC and government audits, denial or coding, billing, documentation and auditing in a hospital, outpatient clinical setting or physician’s office required.
- Previous experience and familiarity with CMS regulations, billing compliance; Medicare, Medicaid and other third-party payer reimbursement methodologies.
- Working knowledge of State and Federal Regulations related to documentation, coding and billing.
