The Final Packaging Inspector will be involved in confirmation of the final quality of connector product delivered to the customer, with a focus on the packaging and presentation of the order to the customer.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (Needed/desired for this Position)
- 1 or more years’ experience in a fast paced, multi-tasking work environment.
- Previous quality background preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication skills; ability to communicate with peers, superiors.
- Product/Process knowledge of connectors and components is preferred.
- Ability to fluctuate schedule as deemed necessary by management or as the work load requires.
- Strong work ethics including, but not limited to, attendance and punctuality.
- Quality focused with a high emphasis on accuracy
- High School Diploma or GED Preferred or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
TECHNICAL and/or MANAGERIAL JOB COMPETENCIES – (Specific Job Proficiencies and Skills)
- Ability to understand simple drawings, CAPs and work instructions (as needed)
- Basic PC experience
- Math skills are a plus.
- Working with automated and semi-automated packaging equipment.
- Ability for personnel performing acceptance testing of product to meet Near and Color Vision Requirements
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned.)
- Support a continuous flow of product within the quality and packaging department.
- Ensure the quality standards are met per PEI-Genesis requirements.
- Ensure that customer requirements have been met through confirmation of correct and adequate components provided for the order.
- Ensure accuracy of BOM and Work Order “special” customer requirements.
- May be responsible for the review and disposition of identified non-conforming material; based on use of defined workmanship standards, guidelines and direction provided from the Manufacturers, or direction provided by members of Management (based on training level).
- Read, understand, and complete all applicable documentation and work instructions to the PEI-Genesis, ISO9001, and AS9100 standard.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area using 5S principles.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Manual lifting up to 35 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 70 lbs. on occasion (with assistance).
- Repetitive detailed work with hands for 8+ hours of the day.
- Ability to sit or stand for up to 8+ hours.
- Be able to reach overhead with or without the aid of a ladder or step stool.
- Ability to Grip/Grasp at least 8 hours of the day.
