Job description:
The In Process & Final Inspector is a key member of the Quality team who ensures the Printed Circuit Board and other Assemblies are properly built and meet IPC requirements.
The In Process & Final Inspector will inspect electronic assemblies and subassemblies for defects. The In Process & Final Inspector is responsible to:
Using IPC standards and applicable production documentation, inspect PCBAs, other sub-assemblies and assemblies for conformity and acceptance to documented requirements
Perform first piece inspection of new PCB assemblies to ensure they are built as documented
Effectively communicate quality issues to the Quality Director, Production Managers and others as required to ensure that all products meet customer specifications
Identify and report all process and product non-conformances
Maintain all required production logs and records
Follow Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) procedures and maintain ESD controls
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of IPC-A-610
Required to understand and follow written procedures and verbal instruction
Ability to interpret production drawings
High attention to detail
Sense of urgency and bias for action
Basic Qualifications
High School diploma or GED
2 years related Quality Inspection experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
Previous Certification to IPC-A-610 is required; current certification is a plus
