Job Description
Advanced Assembly/Summit Colorado has an open position for Final Assembly Lead (1st shift).
This is a Production Lead position involving soldering, training, and X-ray/AOI duties while facilitating job movement through the production floor.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in Work Instruction updates or changes.
- Interpret datasheets, assembly documentation to determine polarity information.
- Interpret the BOM (and other instructions) and place components accordingly to guarantee acceptable quality standards.
- Inspect PCB Components according to the BOM, and assembly documentation.
- Train and assist personnel on new and existing work instructions and processes.
- Report all part errors, discrepancies and questions into the database.
- Stop the process if conditions are found that do not assure the quality of the product.
- Report to Production Management any discrepancy in products.
- Place all jobs with missing parts and other errors on “Hold” with status properly identified.
- Evaluate manufacturing equipment for safety and functionality.
- Ensure operators are following schedule.
- Ensure product is delivered to QA in a timely manner.
- Attend Scheduling meeting during Final Assembly Supervisor absence.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform all the duties to ensure your own safety and that of others.
- Back up solder technician when needed.
- Work independently and consistently to meet productions goals.
- Recognize priorities, prepare and position jobs to be ready for the next shift operators.
- Lead by example.
- Maintain good attendance and reliability, including adhering to working schedules.
- Read and understand manufacturing procedures and other necessary documentation.
- Assist management in Root Cause analysis for defects
- Assign specific jobs to team members.
- Coach and guide team members as necessary.
- Establish close working relationships with other supervisors/managers to facilitate transfer of jobs.
- Perform X-ray and In-process AOI duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years’ experience in the field or related area.
- Flexibility to work scheduled hours and extra hours as required.
- Operate a computer and basic software at a proficient level.
- Excellent communication skills.
- 1-2 years’ experience in soldering.

Pay Range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 hour based on experience.
