Takeuchi Mfg (US) Ltd, a global manufacturer of construction equipment, is in full production at its first North American facility in Moore, SC. Takeuchi (pronounced Tok eh oo chee) has established a first-class workforce in a modern facility with an ideal work schedule.
The primary function of this position is to manage, lead, and execute production plans with regard to several areas in our east-end production operstion. These areas include: testing and performance, final paint, medium & small parts paint, paint rework, and shipping. This is a key role in providing quality components to our internal assembly customers as well as delivering quality machines to our final inspection process before shipping to our customers.
- Work safely and comply with safety guidelines.
- Maintain an organized, safe, professional area in all assembly, painting, and shipping processes that maximize safety and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and develop corrective actions to support facility and area KPIs.
- Setting up and executing the scheduling details for all areas in the east-end production. This includes following the production schedule for completed units needed each day, as well as managing all the small and medium parts that need to be completed.
- Dependable and conducts work thoroughly and accurately.
- Providing leadership and coaching to all areas within the east-end production. This function will work together with the team lead in training painters on proper techniques in final paint, medium/small parts paint, and rework.
- Understand and complete all required paperwork for associates within his/her team.
- Upholding and training all associates to the necessary operator maintenance required on all assembly and painting equipment.
- Operate Track Loader machines as needed.
- Assist with failure analysis of machine components and communicate details with the Manufacturing Manager and Quality Manager to develop reports and to determine warranty merit.
- Prioritize tasks to be completed in each area so that the production schedule is maintained.
Associate degree or equivalent work experience with at least 2 years in a supervision role.- Demonstrable assembly and/or painting technical skills and techniques.
- Ability to work well with others and handle difficult situations professionally.
- Proficiency in computers and a basic understanding of Microsoft operating systems.
- Ability to potentially travel internationally for training purposes.
- Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions.
- Capability to execute and complete the required tasks with little or no supervision in the required time.
- Demonstrated record of success with qualified supporting references.
- The position is based out of the Moore, South Carolina facility.
Physical Demands
Moderate physical effort required including sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, climbing steps or ladders, grasping, fine and course manipulation, reaching both forward and above head level,
Must be able to push, pull and/or lift up to 50 pounds; and safely operate assigned machinery
