The role you'll contribute: 

The Film Production Manager serves as one of the artistic leads for AdventHealth's film and video presence. This individual will oversee in-house and freelance film creation and development, as well as run the day-to-day operations of the new state-of-the-art AdventHealth Film Studio at the organization's national headquarters. This person will develop, implement and manage creative strategies to help improve and maintain the brand experience and will support strategic business initiatives enterprise-wide. By demonstrating strong creative storytelling capabilities, the Film Production Manager is expected to align our creative projects with organizational goals. This role is a mid-level position reporting to the Sr. Film Studio Manager and requires proven experience managing all technical aspects of a film studio, developing and coaching a film team, and managing the day-to-day work.

        Operate and manage day-to-day activities and technical and creative aspects of an advanced film studio.

        Collaborate with leadership to align Film projects with the organization's overall strategic goals, ensuring consistency of brand positioning across all entities.

 

        The position works with a variety of roles to guide how the company should be creatively represented in film.

        Serve as creative visionary and storyteller for all film projects, setting creative direction and aligning production resources for the delivery of finished work.

 

        Manage film team's efforts to establish direction that aligns the brand with established business goals, objectives and strategies.

 

        Offer leadership for a high-performing team to drive the execution of Film strategies. Provide coaching, leadership and assistance with resources and strategy development.

 

        Work collaboratively with Brand Operations and Project Management & Production teams to ensure seamless integration of departmental resources and proper execution of departmental workflow process.

 

        Analyze business and creative metrics, including market share, consumer perception, customer satisfaction and engagement, and profitability to establish ROI measurement of creative effectiveness.

 

        Align with corporate brand standards to enhance and protect brand/mission reputation of organization.

 

        Improve quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; recommending changes to film efforts, as appropriate.

 

        Develop personnel and operational budgets reflecting appropriate funding for all relevant creative functions and programs. Monitor and evaluate spending with a goal of maximizing cost-effectiveness of operations. Produce financial and operational reports as requested.

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

        Creative - Exceptional artistic vision and creative skills to develop engaging and original work. Must be a proven storyteller with a passion for his/her craft. 

        Film Editing - Senior-level film editing experience with Adobe Premier Pro. Experienced storyteller and editor. Must be able to educate and guide downline on best practices and encourage continuing education.

        Motion Graphics - Senior-level skills and working knowledge of Adobe After Effects. Must be able to assist downline with issues and, when necessary, provide strategic assistance.

        Film Studio - Must have experience working inside an advanced film studio and be able to direct and educate the team on best practices and on-set etiquette. Must manage studio upkeep and oversee new gear purchases.

        RED Camera - Experience operating a RED workflow and be able to work with and instruct team members on best practices with RED cameras.

        Technical Studio Networking - Working knowledge of video file architecture inside a studio environment and experience working with a NAS for video file distribution within the studio and editing bays.

        Fim Lighting - Demonstrated advanced knowledge and implementation of lighting technics both inside and outside a studio environment.

        Technical Know-How - Senior-level knowledge of technical capabilities and requirements associated with directing and producing advanced Film work.

        Leadership Skills - Skilled in leadership and organization. Should know how to direct teams so they work together for a common goal.

        Understanding of Consumer Experience - Intimately familiar with the consumer experience and understand what drives a consumer action.

        Knowledge of Marketing/Design Trends - Must be adept at determining if marketing campaigns will be successful, so they should have in-depth knowledge of current trends.

        Time and Project Management - Able to manage their time efficiently with experience and capacity to handle multiple projects at once.

        Creativity and Authenticity - Be creative and authentic in their beliefs and work. Responsible for the company image - consumers should be able to see that authenticity.

        Relationship Minded - Values interpersonal relationships, and utilizes them to galvanize people and processes in a way that advances Marketing strategies.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:

        LED Wall - Experienced working with LED walls as virtual backgrounds for filmmaking.

        Virtual Set Design - Build virtual sets via 3D rendering or 2D static images.

        Mia Robot - Direct the use and operation of the robotic camera platform.

        Unreal Engine - Past experience with the software to build and operate its use in a studio environment.

        DMX Lighting Control - Experience managing lighting via DMX control inside a studio.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

        Bachelor's degree in Film & Television, Art & Design, Branding, Marketing or related field. 

        Minimum eight years' experience in Film & Television, with demonstrated engagement and success.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

        Master's degree in Film & Television, Art & Design, Branding, or Marketing.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

        Direct oversight of a team of videographers and editors. 

        Manages regional Film service efforts through cross-functional corporate influence.
