FILER - WARREN, AR

PotlatchDeltic Land & Lumber, LLC is hiring for a Fully Qualified Saw Filer for the Warren Lumber Mill. This position is responsible for providing saws for the mill by analyzing requirements, resolving problems and preparing saws. This position works on both band saws and round saws to meet production needs.
The hourly rate of pay for this position is $28.91.
Key Accountabilities:

• Knowledge of multiple complex equipment operations
• Good work, attendance and safety record
• Ability to read a set of micrometers and calipers
• Keep saw blades and knives in good working order
• Adjust cutter and identify problems with machine or guides
• Work regularly scheduled shifts and overtime
• Change saws throughout the mill
• Perform cutting, machining, welding, forging/casting, hand hammering and filing
• Use computerized machining equipment
• Replace all of the saw blades two times in a 24-hour period with newly sharpened, repaired and inspected blades
• Repair saw blades as needed
• Set up and calibrate equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations
• Perform other duties, as necessary

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work in hot, dusty, cold, wet, dirty, and confined working environments on occasion
• Ability to climb or descend stairs, ladders, and rough ground, and work at heights

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must score an overall "5" or greater on the Nowlin Section System test battery and structured board interview
• Possess physical abilities necessary to perform the duties of the job
• Able to work any shift, including weekends
• Good work and attendance record
• Ability to read, write and figure accurately
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Prior lumber mill experience a plus
• NCRC Certification preferred
