Figure Skating Manager

The Florida Panthers are a community focused organization led by an authentic management team that served our country and now serves the South Florida community. The organization is expanding outside of Amerant Bank Arena via the renovation of the FTL War Memorial/Baptist Health IcePlex in downtown Fort Lauderdale. This state-of-the-art ice facility will feature two regulation-size rinks, including a team practice rink with stadium seating, the Panthers' new practice facilities spanning over 33,000 sq.ft. of offices and off-ice training facilities, and a 4,000-capacity music theatre for live entertainment. The future is bright, and we are very proud of what we are building in South Florida.

Job Summary:
The Assistant Figure Skating Director is responsible for the day-to-day management, organization and administration of all Panthers IceDen On-Ice Programming for the Figure Department
Job Functions:
Specific duties include but are not limited to:

• Communications between coaches, staff, athletes, parents and arena management.
• Inform customers of daily schedule and/or changes via email, social media, and phone.
• Supervise, train, and schedule figure monitors.
• Assist in the retention of new and existing skaters in the program
• Manage payroll for figure monitors
• Keep all customer accounts updated
• Act as figure monitor when needed
• Be a presence for families during Learn to Skate classes
• Educate guests on proper safety procedures required for ice activities
• Execute policies and procedures professionally and accurately
• Resolve the Aging Report.
• Liaison to the marketing department in the design of marketing collateral for all programming.
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Strong Computer Skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with the ability to quickly learn other software systems.
• Strong customer service skills, and ability to resolve conflict
• Strong communication skills, both internally with staff and externally with customers
• Detail oriented, well-organized, and able to work independently on assigned tasks while under pressure.
• The ability to work as a team player and have good self-motivational skills.
• Sound organizational and time management skills.
• Job reliability, diligence, dedication and attention to detail.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license.
• A flexible schedule - ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.

Physical Requirements:

• Be able to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds with no assistance.
• Sitting, standing, walking, kneeling
• Exposed to non weather-related cold temperatures
• Low to high decibel levels of noise

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a non-exempt position. Must be able to work flexible hours.
