Field Training Specialist

B. SCOPE
The Field Training Specialist executes all company training programs for their assigned region, between 50-100 stores. Works with the Training Manager to create training programs & facilitate training to assist stores in reaching their goals. Defines and executes on delivery and implementation plans. Provides end user support during and after the implementation process. Monitors training effectiveness through use of various evaluations and measurement tools. Provides support and administration for the MIT processes to ensure a smooth transition of employment.
C. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitates learning through a variety of delivery methods to develop participants' skill sets. This includes in-person/hands-on instruction, team meeting training, and web-based training.
- Facilitates and delivers job skills training of technical systems, software, hardware or solutions.
- Assists in providing high-level technical support and training to assigned stores.
- Partners with the L&D team and Operations to align on learning outcomes to meet company goals.
- Develops and updates supplemental training material for assigned projects. This includes handbooks, SOP's, training guides, etc.
- Performs all administrative duties associated with conducting training. This includes, conducting all pre-training prep work, administering learning schedules and calendars, maintaining participant records (e.g., evaluations and attendance).
- Monitors and tracks development goals for management candidates for their assigned region.
- Works with key stakeholders to set development goals for management candidates.
- Assembles documentation for new management candidates to assist in the transition to their new role.
- Provides support in the training and development of candidates on an as-needed basis.
- Provides feedback to learners and their managers to ensure learning translates to performance.
- Maintains frequent training updates and communicates progress to key stakeholders.
- Assist in the development of company staff by providing support to increase employee engagement and enhancing the effectiveness of employees' performance in the workplace.
- Partner with the Director of HR, Training Manager, and senior management to develop and drive strategic workforce plans, processes and develop the workplace culture.
- Assists with various Human Resource projects as needed.
- Priorities change rapidly, so the ability to pivot quickly and effectively is an absolute requirement.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
- Must be able to travel on a frequent basis as the job may require more than 50%-75% of your time on the road.
D. QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree with a focus in Human Resources/Organizational Development, Business Communication, Education/Training, Adult Education, Communications, Business or a related field is preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience with Learning & Development.
- Proven experience training employees.
- Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
- Previous experience in a Retail environment preferred.
- Previous experience with facilitation, with the ability to effectively engage and coach various levels of the organization.
- Requires the ability to consult with all levels of the organization to identify/define training solutions for business needs.
- Ability to build relationships with employees at all levels of the organization including senior leadership.
- Must have excellent communication, organization and time management skills, writing proficiency and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while exercising good judgment, initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Strong skills in utilizing computer systems and software are a must, with the ability to continuously learn new software applications.
