Field Technician – Texas

The Musco Operational Sales Team is currently seeking a Field Technician to provide service to our Texas geographical area. The responsibilities of this role will include safely operating needed equipment to perform maintenance, repair, and inspection of Musco’s products in the Field. What you will do as a Field Technician:
- Perform maintenance, repair, and inspection of equipment and product
- Fine-tune lighting projects, which will require working in aerial lifts at the top of lighting poles or climbing lighting poles or towers
- Install Musco’s control products on new or existing projects
- Coordination of time frames for vendors, equipment, and people resources for assigned projects
- Maintain consistent communication with Field Logistics Manager regarding daily work duties and schedules
- Provide detailed written field reports with completion of required paperwork within one week of project or assignment of paperwork
- Provide leadership to crew and coordinate issues with vendors and customers or projects where Project Management responsibility has been assigned
- Drive and operate Musco equipment on service projects which may require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Other duties as assigned.
What you need to be successful:
- Post high school education (trade school or degree) in mechanical or electrical trades or equivalent experience preferred
- Electrical license or ability to obtain an electrical license is preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Drivers’ License is required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Class A Commercial Drivers’ License is preferred
Job Specifications:
- Electrical license or work toward obtaining preferred
- Excellent technical and problem-solving ability
- Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills
- Strong personal initiative and ability to work with little supervision
- Ability to learn and adapt to changing technology
- Ability to work from heights - Projects to service lighting poles or structures that are between 40 and 120 feet tall using aerial lifts or by climbing with approved fall protection equipment, in rare cases servicing heights of over 120 feet may be required
Work Schedule:
- Extensive domestic travel required and some international travel, 220-240 days per year
- Fieldwork will include longer or odd hours, weekends, holidays and nights
Extensive travel will be required within Texas, but at times throughout the US and abroad
