Field Technician-Special Projects

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install, service, and maintain IT equipment
• Install Cat5, Cat6, Coax, and other cabling
• Terminate and test cabling
• Completes assigned tasks within the given time
• Multi-task and adapt to changes
• Maintain records of completed work and update via electronic system
• Use of power tools
• Communicates with customer about the status of an installation, equipment repair, or other important information
• This position requires 20% local travel and 80% travel that will require multiple overnight stays
• Light construction such as shelving and drywall patching
• Complete and maintain administrative tasks/paperwork, such as timesheets, expense reports

Experience:

• Low voltage: 1 year (Required)
• License/Certification: Driver's License (Required)
• Willingness to travel: 80% (Required)
• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
• Work Location: Remote

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $43,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year

Position Requirements:

• High School degree or equivalent mandatory.
• 2 years of IT Maintenance and Installation, Cable Installation, or Camera System Installation preferred.
• Interpersonal skills: such as communication and customer service skills.
• Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
• Able to carry up to 75 pounds.
• Knowledge of hand tools and power tools
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
