Additional opportunities in the region may be available upon the completion of this project. These are part-time, hourly positions.

Job Description and Responsibilities:
- The Field Technician position is under the direction of Staff Archaeologists and Principal Investigators.
- The project is an archaeological shovel testing survey.
- Duties will include pedestrian and shovel testing reconnaissance, screening, and bagging archaeological artifacts.
Qualifications:
- One year of experience as a Field Technician, the completion of an archaeological field school, and certification as a Registered Archaeologist (or meet the requirements) are preferred.
- Ability to work in a variety of field conditions,and to navigate efficiently in remote areas are required.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, lift heavy objects, work while standing, and do general manual labor such as digging and sifting.
- Must be physically fit and able to walk/hike in rough and/or sloped terrain in variable weather conditions. A normal workday will be eight hours, but must be able and willing to work ten to twelve hour days (or longer) if necessary, in a variety of conditions.
- Must possess problem solving skills to identify problems, develop and evaluate options, and implement solutions. Must be able to follow directions and work independently as needed.
