General Responsibilities:

• Support the department on all environmental services including Phase I and II ESAs, site remediation, soil and groundwater sampling, and field observation documentation
• Prepare technical reports and conduct field assessments

Preferred Education:

• BS in Environmental Science or related field of study.
• Education requirement waived if applicant has relevant field experience.

Required Experience:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build strong relationships
• Ability to represent LJA and its clients in a professional manner at all times
• Basic computer skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

• Experience with environmental regulatory compliance and/or field inspections preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to drive long distances, to and from job sites within Texas and Louisiana. Locations may include but are not limited to: Houston, Austin, Freeport, Conroe, and Beaumont.
• Inspection sites will have uneven ground and will require walking/standing for long periods of time; possible climbing.
• Work in inclement weather (hot/cold/rain)
• Work non-standard hours/days, including some weekend or holiday work on occasion
