Project Canary is a climate technology company that offers an enterprise emissions data platform that helps companies identify, measure, understand, and act to reduce emissions across the energy value chain. Our mission is to “Measure It” – leveraging sophisticated software solutions to help companies improve and report on their emissions footprint. We do this by building high-fidelity sensors, ingesting data from various other technologies and sources, characterizing the accuracy of such emissions data, and deploying advanced physics-based AI-powered models to identify leaks and quantify emissions.
Project Canary is looking to add an experienced Field Technician to add to our team. The coverage area consists of the "DJ Basin", and the technician will travel to different client locations to support new and existing Project Canary hardware on-site. This role will also check in at the Longmont Warehouse 2-3 times per week.

This role will also check in at the Longmont Warehouse 2-3 times per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain Canary hardware units
- Monitor data analytics dashboard for unit functionality
- Conduct calibrations and monthly “bump tests” for units required under regulation
- Communicate with customer operations personnel to identify and fix issues, as needed
- Complete required customer safety trainings and comply with safety rules on customer sites
- Collect canister samples from customer sites for lab analysis
- Maintain and track Colorado inventory
- Develop standard operating procedures for maintenance activities
- Log unit downtime for trend analysis
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 7-10 years of field operations experience in oil and gas
- Demonstrated experience with safety procedures and compliance
- Hard work ethic and self-motivation, required
- Ability to work in industrial settings, outdoors, and/or at elevated heights
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
- Ability to pass a drug screening prior to employment; may be tested throughout employment based on client requirements
