Job Summary
Under general supervision of the Administrative Director for the Department of Transportation and Highways (DOTH), responsible for advanced troubleshooting of PC/office equipment, repair work, equipment deployment, application/OS support and staff training. Receives and tracks internal departmental requests for software updates or technology troubleshooting and provides recommendations leading to coordinating/implementing ultimate technology solution. Assists with leading and facilitating structure across all levels of the organization to deliver valued outcomes to drive business decisions. Analyzes user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and constraints. Oversees and manages department's FIELD SYSTEMS staff. Ensures all system interfaces are operational for consistent reliable data transfer between multi-tiered platforms. Develops and directs software system testing and validation procedures, programing, and documentation. Assumes primary responsibility for multiple projects as directed. Performs other related assignments and duties as directed.
Minimum Qualifications
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in Information Systems; Information Technology; Computer Science; Systems Analysis; or Technology Management is required.
• Four (4) years of full-time work experience as a Field Technician is required.
• Current CompTIA A certification is required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows 10 platform is required.
• Experience with computer technology, installation and configuration of workstation equipment is required.
• Experience with networking essentials and wireless connectivity is required.
• Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance is required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Windows 10 platform including familiarity with Apple iOS and Android. Strong knowledge of computer technology, installation and configuration of workstation equipment. Thorough knowledge of networking essentials and wireless connectivity. Skilled in problem-solving with strong attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to react diplomatically and patiently to internal and external customers. Excellent follow-up skills paired with the ability to multi-task and determine root causes. Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures. Strong response time to phone calls, emails and internal customer requests. Adhere to department policies and standards. Ability to prioritize, plan, and organize tasks based upon user requirements. A bility to manage multiple projects utilizing best practices based on departmental priorities. Ability to work independently under minimal supervision in stressful situations and meet deadlines. This position requires travel to all Department of Transportation and Highways buildings including downtown and District facilities.

Medium Work involves exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently or an amount greater than negligible and up to 10 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
