Field Service Technician (Food Industry)

We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to join the team. Our client specializes in the Food Industry, providing top-notch service and maintenance for industrial equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for on-site maintenance, including installing and testing equipment, troubleshooting issues, making repairs, and teaching our customers how to operate their equipment. This role requires weekly travel throughout the Midwest, with a company car, laptop, cell phone, and uniform provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide Field Service support for industrial (electric) equipment
• Fabricate, install, and maintain manufacturing systems
• Diagnose, commission, and repair manufacturing equipment
• Analyze and troubleshoot electrical issues
• Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment
• Collaborate with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
• Write, modify, and troubleshoot equipment that requires PLC software

Qualifications

• 2-3 years experience as an industrial electrician
• Strong customer service skills
• Understanding of electrical control and mechanical systems
• Basic understanding of thermal dynamics to support oven applications (preferred)
• Familiarity with fabricating and installing electrical components
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Compensation

The salary for this position ranges from $35-$45 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
