We perform preventative and reactive maintenance on a variety of electromechanical equipment inside big box retail stores. With over 35 years of experience servicing over 1500 stores across the US, our full-certified technicians provide our customers with support and repair solutions designed to extend the life of their equipment, reducing downtime and minimizing the impact on our customer’s bottom line.
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
The position of Electromechanical Field Service Technician provides preventative and reactive maintenance services within the target city and surrounding areas. The equipment includes, but is not limited to, paint shaker devices, blind cutting machines, mobility carts, cutters, wood saws, tile saws, wire, and carpet carousels.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures on equipment and then provide a solution
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment adhering to OSHA safety regulations
- Use hand and power tools to assemble, disassemble, and repair machines
- Respond to on-site preventative maintenance service calls within contract time frames
- Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and coworkers
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum two years of equipment repair experience or a combination of training and experience
- Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge; ability to read and understand schematics
- Use computer applications including Microsoft Office and call management software
- Know and understand safety regulations required as it relates to equipment repair
- Strong organization skills; self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record along with proof of insurance
- Satisfactory background check is required
- Maintain a professional appearance and behavior, and a positive attitude
- Written, verbal, and electronic communication skills
- This position will require you to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to stand, bend, and drive for extended periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs, and work at heights of more than 6 ft
