Field Service Technician

Cinnamon Energy Systems (CES) is a Los Gatos-based solar, battery and electrification contractor with a heritage of over 15,000 customers since 2001. As electricity rates continue to increase – while at the same time we transition to EVs and electrify our buildings with heat pumps – it becomes even more important to plan for electrification and make the right equipment choices. Over the past few years CES has grown to become the leading solar, battery and electrical upgrade installer in Silicon Valley. With new IRA incentives, CES is also providing heat pump HVAC, heat pump water heater and EV charger installations as part of our complete electrification services.

Field Service Technician

Cinnamon Energy Systems (CES) for both residential and commercial projects, your essential job functions will include, but are not limited to working with our Customer Service Team;

• Be a team player
• Visiting Customer Sites and trouble shooting a variety of system issues
• Professionally work with Cinnamon Energy System customers. Be courteous and clear
• Assist in the RMA process for equipment
• Install/remove equipment including MLPE, inverters, communication devices, combiner boxes, gateways, batteries (with multiple technicians onsite) and others
• Update and restore software/firmware on systems including but not limited to;
• Enphase
• SolarEdge
• Tesla
• Franklin
• GoodWe
• LGES (LG Chem)
• SMA
• Fronius
• Generac
• Interface with CES staff to uphold highest quality standards
• Keep company vehicles organized, clean and maintained
• Communicate through software systems (i.e. Scoop) and over the phone with CES staff to complete paperwork and processes for system issues
• Occasionally take on additional tasks (Inspections, trainings, site surveys (10% of the time but still a possibility)
• Verify documentation/plan sets
• Check for quality issues and feedback any findings on job sites
• Complete training for new systems CES may use
• Attend regular catch up and training meetings
• Follow all Company and CAL OSHA safety regulations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
