Field Service Engineer
Our client, located in Southern NJ, is an established but growing company that focuses on the development of advanced processes to clean odorous air streams from industrial and municipal water and wastewater treatment plants. They are seeking a Field Service Engineer who will support the mechanical and electrical startup of various
Responsibilities:
* Travel, as needed, to fulfill the responsibilities Indicated or otherwise assigned related to startup and performance testing of odor control systems. Approximately 70% North America travel with most in the USA, with some possible international travel.
* Mechanical and electrical checkout of odor control systems including programming adjustments to PLC"s and HMI"s, servicing of pumps, blowers, other mechanical equipment, servicing of field digital and analog instruments such as pH probes, flow meters, etc.
* Startup and troubleshooting of odor control systems.
* Make training presentations and conduct hands-on training of operators on how to operate systems.
* Complete performance testing of odor control systems.
* Write service and performance testing reports on the operation of the system.
* Regular interaction with Contractors and operators on the installation and operation of odor control equipment.
* Assist with Service Department Inventory, nutrient inventory and shipment, and other administrative departmental tasks.
* Assist with acceptance testing of various equipment.
* Assist with the development of Standard Operating Procedures for Service Department.
* Develop operator training materials and procedures.
* Prepare performance test protocols and procedures.
* Assist with data collection and analysis for operating pilot systems.
* Supervise operation of pilot systems.
* Responsible for instrument calibration, maintenance, and inventory.
* Work to continuously upgrade skills in the PLC programming and controls.
* Interact with clients to build relationships and to identify opportunities to perform additional projects and work.
* Become trained in techniques for welding of plastics and repair of fiberglass.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of experience in a Field Service role repair large scale piping, vessel, and take systems
* Experience working with piping systems, motor controlled valves, pumps, and programmable controllers, as well as the tools related to these activities, is preferred. In lieu of this, Technical School certification in a field that has resulted in the development of such skills can be considered.
* Proficiency with computers and MS Office software.
* Having strong organizational, documentation, and writing skills is required.
* Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
* Must have a professional aptitude & positive attitude.
* Possess a USA passport
