Field Service, Low Voltage Technician

Toner Cable Equipment Inc. is searching for an additional Field Service technician to join our team in supporting our customers with systems installations and support  We provide CATV, IPTV, Ethernet, Satellite reception and signal distribution systems over Coax, Fiber and Ethernet networks. This position is based in our Horsham PA headquarters and requires travel about 25%. Applicant must possess a valid passport withing 90 days of start of employment

Pay Range $21.00 - $28.00 depending on experience and qualifications

Necessary Experience / Requirements

• • 3 years experience as a Low Voltage - Cable Technician. 
  • Experience in pulling & terminating data cables (cat6, RG-6, fiber, etc.) and basic Low Voltage skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with Ethernet, Data networks, and Cable TV systems
  • Knowledge and experience with TV Antenna install, TV/monitor, Digital Signage and Direct TV or Dish systems
  • Flexible and willing to work, early morning, day, night, and weekend shifts depending on the requirements of the job. 
  • Available for extended travel, up to 2 weeks 
  • Experience reading blueprints and site maps.
  • Networking infrastructure familiarity (switches vs routers, etc.) 
  • Ability to work in cramped spaces and on ladders, roof tops
  • Must have knowledge of cabling infrastructure. 
  • Proficient with the use of computers, including email, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office programs. 
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and other protocol’s
  • Strong Electronic and Mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent customer relationship and communication skills; verbal and written. 
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI in the last three years. 
  • Current passport
  • Able to pass necessary Government security checks for work on or in Government installations
  • Industry-specific certifications are a huge plus (BICSI, SCTE, Cable Labs)

Duties may require physical exertion, including reaching, carrying and lifting heavy equipment, up to 100 pounds, climbing ladders, working on rooftops. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, see, talk, and hear.

The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, power tools, or controls. The employee is regularly required to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may perform work from other elevated levels or in cramped spaces.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to travel to project sites domestically and internationally.
