Role: Field Service Engineer (FSE)
Organization: Production Support (PS)
Field Service Engineers in Production Support (PS) will have opportunity to experience a range of activities, which vary week to week and sometimes day to day. You will respond to customer needs remotely or at the customer site to repair down systems. Additionally, will perform regularly scheduled maintenance on Teradyne systems at customer sites.
- 5 or more years of experience servicing Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
- Installing and de-installing Automatic Test Equipment (ATE).
- Training customers on proper maintenance procedures.
- Travel to customer sites that occasionally require plane flights for remote locations in the US.
- Displays professionalism, understanding, tact, fairness, and technical knowledge in all internal and external customer interactions.
- Provide technical support to customer and field team either on-site or through phone or email.
- Participate in cost reduction, productivity improvement program initiated.
- Participate or drive escalated issues or improvement work utilizing cross-functional team (field- team, customers, and factory).
- Strives to work independently for most situations that require one person. Self-driven in pursuing technical knowledge related to the job.
- Self-driven in pursuing technical knowledge related to the job.
- Familiarity with DMM, Power Supplies, Frequency Counters.
- Field service experience a plus.
Desired skills a plus:
- Support released to production test programs with low yield debugging & correlation: follow procedure for production release independently and get buy off from developer.
- Troubleshoot and isolate handler/prober interface and communication issues.
- College degree or equivalent experience
