Execute Aftermarket Field Service & Technical Product Support for TechnipFMC measurement equipment, mechanical and electronic products, accessories, & ancillary/peripheral equipment. Provide on-site startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, repairs, training, and other support for field applications at both domestical & international locations. Assist Quality Assurance and Engineering personnel in product failure analysis. Manage departmental assets (e.g. tools, test fixtures, and demo equipment). Accurately report repair and warranty details to the department supervisor. Complete inventory transactions in a timely and accurate fashion and maintain organized inventory. Proactively develop, document, and continuously improve clear and accurate procedures that describe the daily work required to provide an industry leading product quality level to customers in a timely fashion.
Job Description
- Installs, tests and repairs new and reworked TechnipFMC products (equipment and tools).
- Handles customer comments, requests and complaints in a TIMELY manner.
- Provides sales support ensuring the customer is fully informed of all aspects of the job.
- Completes Field Service Orders (FSO) and Field Spare Parts Tickets (FSPT) and accountable for the timely submission of these and other revenue generating documents.
- Assures all quality issues and documentation (equipment and procedural defects) is communicated and sent back to Company's Service Management.
- Completes field documentation after the completion of each service job.
- Project management as required & handles project issues as they arise.
- Prepares and completes safety related training, documentation, and procedures.
- Safe work practices at all times.
- May mentor or instruct less experienced team members and/or customers in and out of the field.
- Be on call to provide emergency assistance to customers all hours of the day, year-round including holidays, but excluding personal vacation.
- Provides technical support via telephone, e-mail to our customers, distributors, and sales offices.
- Receives and follow-up customer calls and outstanding issues.
- Sets priorities and establish schedules for themselves and others, as needed.
- Aids in prioritizing repair activity, incoming material, and technical support to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Engages productively in repairing of Smith Meter products (e.g. meters, valves, presets, electronic instrumentation, etc.), calibration of electronic and mechanical products, rebuilding and refurbishing electrical and mechanical products.
- Completes and maintain accurate repair reports, and attendance records.
- Assists with the calibration activities on all equipment submitted for certification.
- Maintains tools and test equipment to diagnose and repair Smith Meter products.
- Executes Installation / Commissioning of New systems or upgrades that may have been supplied time to time.
- Develop and document department processing procedures.
- Make product improvement recommendations to Supervisor, Engineering personnel, and Manufacturing personnel as identified.
- Support the continuous improvement process.
- Operate in a fast-paced environment, ability to multi-task, & complete any projects or tasks as assigned by the department supervisor.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Exposure to normal manufacturing shop & office conditions. Spends majority of work time in the field at client sites including oil & gas loading facilities, terminal load racks, refineries, well sites, transfer facilities, offshore platforms, etc. Would be exposed to possible hazards including chemical exposure, high noise, heavy machinery, and inclement weather - where safety equipment is required. Would be required to do frequent international travel.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Daily use of personal computer and technical manuals. Frequent use of mechanical & electrical diagnostic tools. Physical requirements of the position could be (i.e. lifting, pushing, climbing), travel required as well as afterhours support and infrequent afterhours call outs. Regular use of mechanical tools, air tools, test equipment, cranes, lifting & rigging, and similar. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. on a frequent basis.

• High school diploma or equivalent technical diploma• Minimum 3 years of experience in Field Service technician role• Advanced knowledge of one or more of the following fields: electrical; subsea equipment; hydraulics equipment; mechanical equipment and tools; structural steel • Ability to read and understand drawings• Able to perform moderate complex calculations• Ability to use and understand technical tools and instruments and perform basic troubleshooting• Knowledge of applicable theories, practices, and accepted internal business processes and procedures
