Field Sales Representative - Fluid Control, Filtration and Handling Systems

Seattle, wa 98101

**Position is primarily remote, but must live within the sales territory, which extends from Seattle north to the Canadian border. 

Our client is a leading distributor of fluid control systems, fluid filtration systems, fluid handling products, microelectronics, and general industrial supply. We sell to a broad base of customers in industries such as electronic component and equipment manufacturers, chemical manufacturers, water & waste treatment, metal finishing, pollution control, and life sciences companies. www.rhfs.com

Essential Responsibilities/Duties:

· Solidify and further develop existing relationships with key customers

· Identify and sell new prospects from current clients, referral leads, and other sources

· Build ongoing value by updating customers' knowledge of products/applications, assisting in product selection, and providing appropriate training

· Work with management and operations to implement strategies that support profitable sales growth

· Demonstrate effective communication, presentation, and listening skills.

· Are self-starters and have the desire to learn and advance in a quality sales environment.

· Work well in a team environment, are hard-working, results-driven, and motivated to win.

· Develops and updates written sales strategy for territory consistent with annual forecast and Company sales philosophy.

· Prepares and submits a weekly sales call plan to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) with the goal of maximizing exposures (minimum of 5 sales calls per day).

· Uses ACS to document all customer contact and sales activities (minimum of 3 times per week).

· Regularly communicates with Inside Sales, RSM, and other team members on territory sales strategy progress and problem resolution.

· Supports a positive, enthusiastic team approach to sales.

· Continually improves product/sales skills and market/application knowledge.

· Maintains a high degree of professionalism at all times.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

· 4-year college degree or equivalent experience.

· 1+ years of Field Sales / outside sales and account management experience

· Previous experience within industrial sales focused on fluid control systems, fluid filtration systems, and fluid handling products is preferred

· Valid Drivers License

 

Skills:

· Team player - able to quarterback sales team effort

· Organized, detail-oriented, and quick learner with the ability to grasp new concepts

· Ability to facilitate training sessions

· Effective verbal and written communication skills

· Demonstrated sales acumen

· Basic mathematics aptitude necessary (decimals, fractions, algebra)

· Mechanical Aptitude

· Goal-oriented and metrics-driven

· Logical problem-solving capability

· MS Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint
