Knowledge:
- Thorough knowledge of relevant HSE procedures and regulations, including specialized site specific requirements.
- Thorough knowledge of facility equipment; gas engine and compressor, electrical systems, panelboards, skid and plant wiring, process/production equipment, piping, filtration, regulation, and dehydration system, etc. through advanced training or performance verification.
- Knowledge of engine and compressor theory of operation.
- Knowledge of component parts operation and assembly including pumps, starter, valves, ignition governor, lubricator, and turbo-charger.
- Knowledge of types and applications of lubricants used in maintenance of engines and compressors.
- Knowledge of basic first-aid practices.
- Knowledge of new technologies.
Minimum Education and Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must provide own hand-tools up to 1 1/4".
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Minimum 2 years relevant technical school or demonstrated prior experience in process/production operations, gas or diesel engine and/or compression.
- Fully certified and knowledgeable in CPR-First Aid, Visible Emission Certification and Observations, H2S Training and other required trainings or specific requirements as applicable to the site or facility, major repairs, overhauls, or start-up inspections.
Minimum Experience:
- Typically at least five years related experience and/or training.
Leadership:
- Frequently leads, monitors and checks work of at least 3 operators.
- Trains team members to improve skill, productivity, safety, quality and processes.
- Gives input for hire, fire, and job changes.
- Gives input for performance review, discipline and issues.

- Requires no help for operator duties.
