JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
This person will travel from site to site designing, troubleshooting, installing wired and wireless networks, and performing site surveys. They will communicate daily with clients, Account Managers, and Project Ma. Complete documentation for onsite work will be required with pictures, dimensions, data, locations, and any other items needed to be provided in the customer report template. The ideal candidate will be able to learn all technology-based services and perform survey and installation services as needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ years of experience with network deployments and managing client sites
- 1+ years of working experience with medium or large-scale wired and wireless networks
- Experience with on-site physical installations, including fiber, Ethernet, and other network equipment
- Ability to travel 90% of the time and work various shifts if needed (e.g., nights, weekends)
- Previous experience in a role that required extensive travel
- Wireless RF knowledge and network troubleshooting skills
- Base knowledge of configuration
- Thorough knowledge of TCP/IP model
- Knowledge of Cisco IOS
- Client-facing experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with wireless site survey software (e.g., Ekahau and/or AirMagnet)
- College degree
- Hands-on experience with AP on a stick
- Experience with designing wireless networks is highly preferred
- Cisco certifications (e.g., CWNA, CCNA, CCNA Wireless)
- Experience with any of the following: Meraki, Aruba, HPE, Ruckus, Extreme Networks, Xirrus
NOTES:
- This position is a traveling position. It is estimated approximately 90% to 100% travel nationwide. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. There may be occasions when you work a Saturday or Sunday. Travel is usually during business hours, but sometimes might require you to fly out on a Sunday.
- You are given a company credit card for all expenses (e.g., flight, gas, rental car, hotel, food). If preferred, you can use a personal credit card for expenses.
- All equipment is provided, including a cell phone and laptop.
- The initial training will be approximately two weeks at the Kansas City, MO headquarters.
- This position is eligible for full reimbursement for select certifications and courses during employment.
- This is a salaried position. There is no overtime.
