Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Field Estimator to join our Power Delivery team in Savannah, Georgia. The Field Estimator will be responsible for providing accurate and timely cost estimates for distribution engineering projects, supporting project feasibility assessments, and contributing to the overall success of our operations.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Field Estimator to join our Power Delivery team in Savannah, Georgia. The Field Estimator will be responsible for providing accurate and timely cost estimates for distribution engineering projects, supporting project feasibility assessments, and contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Education and Experience:
Preferred - Not Required:
- 2-year accredited Technical Degree, OR
- 4-year accredited degree in a non-technical field, OR
- EUT Certificate
- Distribution and or related Engineering experience with a power utility company
- Knowledge of electrical system operations, distribution systems, underground and overhead construction practices.
- Working knowledge of ARMS, JETS, Adobe/GIS, CSS, Socket, OFS, DistView, TCMS Web, NJUNS, EDEN, and Oracle Analytics preferred.
- Must be available for after-hours and weekends as needed for storm support and restoration.
- Cost Estimation:
- Gather data and information to prepare accurate cost estimates for distribution engineering projects.
- Utilize knowledge of electrical system operations and construction practices to assess project requirements and scope.
- Feasibility Assessment:
- Support project feasibility assessments by analyzing project specifications and requirements.
- Identify potential risks and challenges and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Software Utilization:
- Utilize software tools such as ARMS, JETS, Adobe/GIS, CSS, Socket, OFS, DistView, TCMS Web, NJUNS, EDEN, and Oracle Analytics for project estimation and analysis.
- Storm Support:
- Be available for after-hours and weekend support as needed for storm response and restoration efforts.
- Strong understanding of electrical system operations, distribution systems, and construction practices.
- Previous experience with distribution engineering projects in a power utility company is advantageous.
- Familiarity with estimation software tools and programs preferred.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
