Job Title: Field Engineer
Pay: $70,000 - $80,000/annually *DOE*
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. As a Field Engineer, you will work closely with the Superintendent, exercising judgment and discretion in various field-related activities. This role primarily supports front-line field management, including project layout, supervision of trade workers, safety, quality control, and coordination of trade partners. The position requires a strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication.
Job Responsibilities:
Execute project layout (surveying) in compliance with design and contract documents
Verify accuracy and adequacy of concrete forms before concrete placement
Conduct production trend analysis for work quantities and report weekly and monthly schedule and cost control
Assist in quality control, site safety initiatives, and trade partner coordination under the supervision of the Superintendent
Coordinate material deliveries and inspect materials for quantity, quality, and condition
Interpret plans and specifications, providing support to foremen and trade partners
Supervise trade partners' workforces to gain supervisory experience
Participate in jobsite safety meetings and conduct safety audits
Collaborate with the VDC team on field operation-related scopes, plans, and deliverables
Review and navigate 3D models and scheduling software
Ideal Candidate:
Over 3 years of Large Commercial project experience *REQUIRED*
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Architecture, or Construction Management
Valid Driver's License
Strong communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel-based templates, Prolog, Primavera, and AutoDesk Suite
Previous internships in the construction industry (preferred, but not required)
